Product Overview

• Designed to fit into headers as small as 1-3/4" x 4" for aluminum frames and is also adaptable to wood and hollow metal frames.
• Maximum door weight of 250 lb.
• Maximum exterior doors width up to a 3'-6" and interior doors up to a maximum 4' width.
• For both single-acting or double-acting doors.
• Hold open is available at 90º or 105º. Size 2 is available for 90º opening swing or deadstop/hold open only

Technical Specifications

• Closer body is non-handed
• Mechanical backcheck
• Closer body available in spring size 2, 3 or 4
• Always use an auxiliary stop in conjunction with RTS88 installations.
• Pressure relief valve protects the closer from abuse due to forced closing
• RTS88 BFE will meet barrier-free requirements on 3'-0" wide center hung single or double-acting doors
• RTS88 BFE available only in size 3 105º NHO or HO only
• An integral positive stop limits door swing to 90º or 105º.
  An auxiliary stop should always be installed in conjunction with RTS88.
• Closing speeds are controlled by two adjustment valves.
  Sweep area is from 105º to 20º. Latch area is from 20º to 0º.
• Mounting brackets are included to install closer into aluminum or wood headers
• Optional extended spindle available in 3/16" integral length or 1- 5/16" add-on length[8521E].
