More Info

Adams Rite electric strikes are available in fail secure and fail safe. A fail secure strike requires electrical power to unlock the strike. Therefore, in the case of a power loss, the strike will remain locked. A fail safe strike, on the other hand, requires electrical power to lock the strike plate. Therefore, when  there is a power outage, this electric strike will remain unlocked.
