The ASI 0199 TURBO
ADA is a high-speed, surface-mounted hand dryer designed specifically for ADA-compliant commercial restroom installations. The name reflects its purpose — at just 4 inches deep, it clears the
ADA projection limit for objects mounted between 27 and 80 inches above finished floor without any recessing into the wall. That makes it a straightforward specification for accessible restrooms where a recessed installation is not practical or preferred.
The cover is constructed from 18-gauge type 304 stainless steel in a satin finish. The unit carries an IP24 drip-proof rating, which provides a meaningful level of protection against water splashing in restroom environments and makes the unit suitable for locations near sinks or in higher-humidity spaces.
The motor is a 0.67 HP brush-type unit with dual ball bearings, running between 16,000 and 29,000 RPM. It drives a multi-inlet centrifugal fan that produces 63.6 CFM (108 m3/h) of airflow and gets hands dry in under 15 seconds. Output air temperature is 131 degrees F (plus or minus 5 degrees) at 77 degrees F ambient room temperature. The nichrome wire heating element is protected by an auto-reset circuit breaker. Sound output runs between 68.9 and 74.3 dB-A at 2 meters.
Both air speed and heat are owner-adjustable. The heating element has its own dedicated on/off switch, so facility managers can run the unit on air only when they want to reduce energy draw. An automatic 60-second shutoff provides a backup cutoff in addition to the sensor-based hands-removed detection.
