The ASI 0852 is a no-nonsense sanitary napkin disposal designed for commercial restroom stalls. It is surface mounted, meaning it goes directly on the wall or partition without requiring any cutouts or recessing into the wall cavity. That keeps installation fast and straightforward, and it works on both standard walls and toilet partitions.
The entire unit — cabinet, door, flanges, and removable waste receptacle — is constructed from 22-gauge type 304 stainless steel with an 18-8 alloy rating and a satin finish. Type 304 stainless is the standard for commercial restroom accessories because it resists corrosion and cleans up well under regular service conditions. The satin finish keeps it looking professional without drawing too much attention.
The top cover door lifts to accept waste, and the concealed multi-staked piano hinge keeps the hinge mechanism protected from tampering or damage. The unit holds 1.2 gallons (4.5 liters) of dry solid waste. When it is time to service the unit, maintenance staff simply opens the top door and removes the wax paper collection bag. Waxed paper liner bags are not included and need to be supplied by the facility.
Mounting is done with two keyhole slots on the rear panel, which allows the unit to be hung onto pre-installed screws for easy positioning and removal during servicing. Final fastening uses #10 self-threading screws, which are supplied by others. For
ADA compliance, the unit should be installed so the top cover sits no higher than 44 inches above finished floor.
