The ASI 0864 is a dual-purpose feminine hygiene vendor designed for commercial women's restrooms. It combines two independent dispensing mechanisms into one surface-mounted cabinet, one side for napkins and one for tampons, so facilities can offer both products without taking up extra wall space.

The napkin side holds 30 cardboard-boxed napkins compatible with major brands including Stayfree, Kotex, Guards, Pure-Nat, and Modess. The tampon side holds 27 cylindrical cardboard tampons with crimped ends, compatible with Tampax and Modess tampon products. Both dispensing tracks use feed weights that must be in place to ensure positive product delivery. The empty indicator on each side displays when that product is depleted and blocks the coin slot until the unit is restocked. Once refilled, the indicator resets automatically.

The universal coin mechanism is what sets this model apart from single-denomination vendors. Ordering the appropriate suffix determines the vend price: the 0864-25 is set for 25 cent operation, the 0864-50 for 50 cents, and the 0864-F provides free or no-coin vending for facilities that provide products at no charge. The coin drawer uses a different key than the service door, which keeps cash access separate from restocking access.

The cabinet is constructed from 22-gauge type 304 stainless steel with an 18-8 alloy rating and a satin finish. Installation uses four #10 self-threading screws through concealed holes in the cabinet rear wall. For compliance, the coin slot should be mounted between 38 and 48 inches above finished floor. The coin slot sits 7 inches above the bottom of the cabinet, so that measurement informs the mounting height calculation.

The track weights included with the unit play an important role in reliable operation. They must be installed correctly to ensure consistent product feed. Without them in place, products may not drop properly after a coin is inserted. Maintenance staff should confirm the weights are seated correctly any time the unit is restocked.

The coin drawer is accessed using a different key than the service door, which is a practical security feature for facilities that have separate staff handling cash collection versus restroom restocking. Locks on the 0864 are keyed alike to other ASI washroom equipment by default, which simplifies key management for facilities that use multiple ASI products.

For facilities that want to match a contemporary restroom design, the 0864-41 is the same unit in a powder-coated matte black finish. For projects with insufficient wall depth for recessing, the 0864 surface-mount design installs directly on the wall with no cutout required.
