(This Product Requires an Additional 2 Days Shipping) The ASI 20852 is part of the Roval™ collection from American Specialties and brings a more refined look to sanitary waste disposal in commercial restroom stalls. The cabinet front is formed seamless with a curved profile that adds both structural strength and a cleaner aesthetic compared to standard flat-front units. The entire receptacle is built from 22-gauge type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish, and the top edge is hemmed with a return to the inside so there are no sharp edges for users or maintenance staff to catch on. The unit holds 1 gallon of waste and can be emptied by removing the wax paper liner bag or by simply unhooding the unit from its mounting screws and inverting it into a bulk collection container. It installs with keyhole slots on the rear panel, making it easy to hang, remove, and rehang during servicing.

Overview

The ASI 20852 is ASI's Roval collection take on the standard sanitary waste receptacle. While it serves the same basic function as a conventional napkin disposal, the Roval design brings a noticeably more polished look to restroom stalls in hotels, corporate offices, healthcare facilities, and higher-end commercial builds where aesthetics matter as much as function.

The cabinet front is formed as a single seamless piece with a curved profile. That curve is not just decorative — it adds rigidity to the front panel, which helps the unit resist denting from everyday contact. The full top edge is hemmed with a return to the inside, which removes any exposed sharp edge that a user or maintenance worker could catch a hand on. Both of these details reflect the kind of thoughtfulness that separates the Roval line from standard-grade washroom accessories.

Construction is 22-gauge type 304 stainless steel with an 18-8 alloy rating and a satin finish throughout. The lid is attached with a concealed multi-staked piano hinge that keeps the mechanism hidden and protected. The unit holds 1 gallon of dry waste, which is appropriate for a single restroom stall on a routine maintenance schedule.

Emptying the unit is straightforward. Maintenance staff can either remove the disposable wax paper liner bag through the top or simply unhook the entire unit from its keyhole mounting slots, invert it over a bulk collection container, and rehang it. Wax paper liner bags are not included and are sourced by others. The keyhole slots also make it easy to remove the unit from the wall entirely for thorough cleaning when needed.

For ADA compliance, the top cover should be installed no higher than 48 inches above finished floor. For general use, ASI recommends mounting between 28 and 40 inches above finished floor measured from the top of the unit.

More Info

The ASI 20852 is the surface-mounted version in ASI's Roval sanitary waste disposal family. The Roval line is designed to coordinate across an entire restroom, covering everything from paper towel dispensers and soap dispensers to mirrors, toilet tissue holders, and feminine hygiene accessories. Specifying the 20852 alongside other Roval products gives a restroom a consistent, coordinated look without mixing styles or finishes.

For facilities that prefer a recessed or partition-mounted installation, ASI offers companion Roval models in those configurations as well. The surface-mounted 20852 is the right choice for walls or partitions where there is insufficient depth for recessing, or where a straightforward no-cutout installation is preferred.

The keyhole rear mounting slots are a practical maintenance feature. Rather than unscrewing the unit from the wall every time it needs to be serviced or deep-cleaned, staff can simply lift the unit off the pre-installed screws. For standard wall installations, two #10 x 1-1/4 inch self-threading pan head screws are used. For metal partition installations, two #10 x 3/4 inch self-threading pan head screws are used instead. In both cases, screws are supplied by others and the wall or partition must provide adequate anchoring.

Wax paper liner bags are not included with the unit and need to be sourced separately through janitorial supply. The unit can also be emptied without a bag by unhooding and inverting it directly into a bulk container, which gives maintenance teams flexibility in how they manage the restocking cycle.

For LEED-certified projects, the 20852 qualifies under recycled content credits MR 4.1 and MR 4.2, rapidly renewable materials credit MR 6, and low-emitting materials credits EQ 4.1, EQ 4.2, and EQ 4.4. The unit carries a 1-year limited warranty from date of invoice.
