It extends 2-5/16 inches from the wall, giving enough clearance for a robe, a set of clothing, or a small carry bag. The hook mounts to a concealed 19-gauge stainless steel mounting cup using a single M5 cone point set screw tightened with the included 2.5mm hex key. The cup itself goes up with two #6 x 1-1/2 inch self-threading pan head screws and included plastic wall anchors, and works on both wall and door back installations. No visible fasteners on the finished face. ADA compliant at the correct mounting height and qualifies for LEED MR and EQ credits. The 7312 double hook is available when two hang points are needed at the same location.

Overview

The ASI 7308 is a single surface-mounted robe hook designed for any commercial space that needs a reliable, low-profile hang point. It is part of ASI's type 304 satin stainless specialty accessory series and shares the same round mounting cup system and tube profile used across the 73xx accessory line, making it easy to specify alongside other accessories in the series for a consistent finished look.

The hook body is 22-gauge type 304 stainless steel in a satin finish. It extends 2-5/16 inches from the wall, which is enough clearance for a folded bath robe, a layered set of clothing, or a small carry bag without the items pressing against the wall or partition behind. The hook works on standard finished walls as well as door backs, which gives it flexibility in layouts where wall space near a changing area is limited.

Installation uses a concealed 19-gauge stainless steel mounting cup that mounts to the substrate first with two included #6 x 1-1/2 inch self-threading pan head screws and plastic wall anchors. The hook flange then clips onto the cup and is locked in position with a single M5 cone point set screw tightened using the 2.5mm hex key included with the unit. The set screw position keeps it out of the sightline from the front, resulting in a clean finished face with no visible fasteners.

For compliance under the 2010 Accessibility Standards, the top of the hook should be installed at 48 inches maximum above finished floor when clear floor reach is available. For general utility, ASI recommends the centerline of the mounting cup at 68 inches above finished floor.
