Why use pivots to hang doors rather than hinges? Here are some of the reasons why pivots may just be the better option for you.

Hinges that are used to support a door are working against the natural forces of gravity. They are designed to keep the door hung slightly above the ground, thereby fighting the force of gravity which naturally pulls anything down. This phenomena often results in many problems with the door. The  weight of these doors pulls the hinges downward on an angle which will eventually cause the door and frame to warp or break. It can also result in the loosening of screws which will compromise the support the hinges provide.
