This Von Duprin 98L is a heavy duty rim exit device that is supplied with a lever trim in which a key is required to lock and unlock the outside lever. This product does not include any dogging features, includes a Request to Exit Switch as well as motorized exterior trim with the "17" design lever.

Because this is not a stock item we must order it specifically for you and we will be unable to accept a return unless the item is defective as determined by the factory it was bought from.

Face the outside of the door to determine the hand. Here are some rules to follow:

  • The outside of an exterior door is the street or entrance side.
  • The outside of a room door is the hall side.
  • The outside of a single communicating door is the side from which the hinges are not visible when the door is closed.
  • The outside of a closet door is the room or hall side.

​Doors equipped with exit devices swing out only, and therefore exit device handing is known as reverse bevel.

The door is Left Hand Reversed if:

   • While you are standing outside of the room facing the door, the hinges are on your left side.

The door is Right Hand Reversed if:

   • While you are standing outside of the room facing the door, the hinges are on your right side.
