This Sargent deadlock is recommended for use on doors where only inside operation is necessary. To exit, the inside lever needs to be rotated and there is no lever or on the outside to allow for entry. Its ANSI rating as proves its strength and durability. It has been tested to withstand 10 hammer blows, and 250,000 cycles. Its deadbolt also projects one inch into the jamb for definite security.
